Now what? | Acts 16:25-34
Have you ever finished something big and thought, “Now what?” You graduate from school, and you think, “Now what?” You get a job, “now what?” You get married and you wake up the next morning and say, “Now what?” You buy a house and then you say, “Now what?” You have your first child and then you ask yourself, “now what?” You get the child through high school and off to college and you look at your spouse and say, “now what?” You check the box on your bucket list and say, “now what?” Life is often a series of next steps or “now what’s.” Today, we are going to answer a couple of “now what” questions for you spiritually: What must I do now to be saved? What must I do next after I am saved?
The answer to those questions is found in the real-life testimony of a guy named the Philippian Jailer. He asked one of the biggest questions anyone can ever ask, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” That one question changed everything about everything in his life and his family. He went from having the worst day in his life to the best day in his life. He went from darkness to life, from death to life, from hopeless to hope. My prayer is that today your day. We are going to answer those two basic questions: What must I do now to be saved? What must I do next after I am saved?
