What Child is This | Isaiah 9:1-7
Have you ever noticed how one thing has the ability to change everything else? Think of your life and maybe an event or something took place that if that did not happen. Today you may have a hundred things going on in your life, but I want to share with you ONE thing that can change everything. The holiday season is one that brings lots of joys and challenges. Some of us are dealing with family issues, job issues, personal struggles, financial struggles and physical struggles. The presence of Jesus changes everything. The presence of Jesus gives us Hope.
Israel is being overtaken and the northern kingdom is being ravaged by Assyria. Ahaz is king and making everyone worship Moloch and has boarded up the temple. The people look around and see evil, false worship and destruction. Think about your world right now, what do you see? What do you feel? Do you feel overwhelmed?
