How the World Became Broke | Gen. 3:1-15
After God created Eve, He declared that it was “very good.” The husband and wife were both naked and not ashamed. They had no shame, distrust, nor dishonor. It was complete innocence. It was paradise. They lived in perfect peace with God and each other. They walked with God every evening and lived in harmony with the world. They had no problems. All was well as they followed and pursued God’s design in their lives. Yet, in one act, Adam and Eve broke paradise and because of that we all suffer the consequences as descendants of Adam. Romans 5:12 says, “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all have sinned.” In Genesis 3, we see how the world was broken by sin and how God promised to fix it in Jesus Christ.
