Jesus’ Victory | 2 Cor. 5:14-21
Paul is writing to explain why he lived the way he lived. The basis of his life was the GOSPEL. VS. 14-15: The Love of Christ controls us: Paul says, “it is God’s love for me, not my love for God that has changed my life.” The gospel is news that changed his life forever. It is the news that: Jesus lived a perfect life that I could not live, died a death that I deserved to die and won the victory over all my enemies (sin, Satan, death, hell and the grave) by rising triumphantly from the dead. The good news of Jesus’ victory, winning a war I could never win, transforms our past and guarantees our future.
