Light the Night
October 31
Introducing: Light the Night!
Instead of hosting one large event at the church, we’re taking it to our neighborhoods. We’re multiplying Trunk & Treat! Imagine dozens of homes across our city lighting up the night with fun, hospitality, and the hope of the gospel!
On October 31st, we’re going to equip our church family to host trunks, tables, and activities in their driveways, yards, and neighborhoods for the purpose of shining the light of Jesus to their neighbors.
Why the change?
As a multiplying church, we believe God is calling us to a deeper, more intentional presence in our local community, not just one night a year, but through relationships that last. By lighting up our streets with love, hospitality, and the good news of Jesus, we’re stepping into the Great Commission right where we live, work, and play.
We know change brings questions.
- “Will I be on my own?”
No way. We’ll provide ideas, supplies, and support. We encourage you to team up with others in your neighborhood and we’ll help you get connected! - “What if I don’t live in a trick-or-treat neighborhood?”
We’ll help you join another location or find a creative alternative. - “What do I actually do?”
It could be as simple as setting up a table in your driveway, handing out candy, and offering prayer. Or go big with lights, games, music, it’s your call! We support you with tools and training every step of the way.
What can you expect?
When you sign up, we will get you connected with other church members around your neighborhood. We will have a training night on October 15th where you can learn and practice sharing your testimony and tools to more easily share the gospel. We will also have “Light the Night Kits” available with some of those tools, activity ideas, some candy, and a how-to-guide. You’re not on your own!
Whether you host, co-host, pray, or plan, you are needed.
