Our Weekend Services

Our church family gathers for worship each Sunday to exalt the Lord, encourage one another, be equipped by Biblical teaching and proclaim the Good News of Jesus. Each service is unique, dynamic and open to anyone. We are glad to provide loving nursery & preschool care for families during all services. We also meet at other times for a variety of activities & studies.

What to Expect

When you set foot on the campus of First Naples you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We seek to be disciples who are making disciples and share the love & truth of Jesus Christ with everyone in our community. Here's what you can expect…

A Warm Greeting
A Warm Greeting

From the moment you step on to our campus to the moment you leave, we want you to know that you are loved here! No matter what question you might have, just ask. Our greeters are here to help you find your way. Our Next Steps Area, located inside our main lobby, is the perfect place to find more information about getting plugged in.

Hot Coffee
Hot Coffee

We encourage you to check out our Cafe and grab some coffee before/after a worship service. Our cafe has plenty of beverages & snacks to choose from and provides a great atmosphere to connect with old friends & get to know new ones.

Fun for the Whole Family
Fun for the Whole Family

Our campus is a great place where friendships can form and relationships deepen. We have activities for all ages on the weekend, including a nursery for newborns and preschool activities so parents can whole-heartedly focus on worship (although children are welcome in the service as well). We are a church family that is serious about joy: true joy…the kind of joy that comes from real connection with God and others.

Conversation
Conversation

When you worship with us, you’ll be surrounded by people that love God, love each other and love you. Expect people to say something like, “Hi, we haven’t met before, is this your first time?”. Expect for people to reach out to you in love and genuinely care about you. We recognize that none of us is perfect (except Jesus Himself) and we strive to create an attitude and atmosphere of grace.

Music
Music

We are so blessed to have wonderful musicians that provide great atmospheres of worship. Whether you attend our band-led service (Sundays at 10:00 +11:30am) or our Choir + Orchestra led service (Sundays at 8:30am), you’ll be led to authentically praise God and hear from His Word. From hymns that have been around for centuries to songs that haven’t even hit the radio yet, music is a vehicle of worshiping the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind & strength.

Truth
Truth

In a world where everything seems to be changing so rapidly, we are thankful that there is one thing that never changes: God’s Truth. Each time we gather, we seek to explore, understand and apply God’s truth to our lives at every level in a spirit of love. Whether it’s a message preached in our worship service, small group discussion, or in a one on one discipleship meeting, you will find a growing variety of resources to help you grow in God’s truth.

FAQs

Here are some frequently heard remarks & questions that are asked by those who are seeking to learn more about First Naples.

"I am from a small church, how do I find community and get connected at First Naples?"

We have several ways you can find biblical community with other people in our church family. Our Groups are the primary way we encourage people to first get involved. Involvement in these groups “shrinks” a large church. You make friends and are equipped to apply God’s Truth to daily life. These groups meet on the weekend and during the midweek, both on campus and off campus. We have fellowship and discipleship opportunities in Women’s and Men’s ministry studies, co-ed topical studies, Student groups for 6-12th grades, and AWANA for elementary and preschool kids. Other Care Groups, Events, Seminars and opportunities are offered at various times throughout the year. You can find more information about groups here.

"What are different ways to become a member? I love options and being able to experience different churches. Why lock in on just one?"

We believe that the Bible encourages us to be a part of a local church family where we safely grow in God’s grace and truth and in relationship with other believers. By committing to one church family, you can be cared for when needs arise. We encourage everyone who believes in Jesus to find a church home where they can both be filled up through the ministries of the church and be poured out in serving the Lord & others around us. To read more about church membership, visit our Next Steps page.

"What should I wear?"

You are welcome as you are! Our Band-Led services are a little more casual, but we are happy to have you whether you’re wearing jeans and tennis shoes or your best dress.

"How can I serve and get involved at First Naples, or am I not needed to serve?"

The Body of Christ has many members who are uniquely equipped by God with gifts and talents. You may provide the missing link in a ministry or even initiate one which is needed & stamped with God’s approval! One of our values as a church is being Sent to Serve and we encourage you to get involved! Visit our SERVE page by Clicking Here.

"Why does the Pastor preach out of a section of the Bible or a specific topic the way he does?"

We are very blessed to have Pastors who believe in the power of God’s Word, The Bible, and who help us to apply it to our lives every single week! Our Pastors are called to preach the whole counsel of God’s Word, which means they won’t shy away from any part of it. You can hear these sermons by listening to our podcast or watching past sermons online. We are often blessed by some of the world’s leading preachers, teachers and communicators.

"Are you affiliated with a particular denomination and why? Do they determine who the pastor is and the program of the church?"

First Baptist Church Naples is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. While each SBC church is autonomous and is completely free to choose their own Pastor and programming, aligning ourselves with the SBC enables us to do more together than we could separately in spreading the Good News of Jesus around the world. We have an interdenominational flavor that has drawn folks from every conceivable background. Find out more about The Baptist Faith and Message on our Beliefs page.

"Are you affiliated with a particular political party or candidate?"

We are not affiliated with any particular political party of candidate. We encourage all people to fulfill their right to vote and to make their vote a matter of prayer & conviction. Only Jesus is Lord. He does call us to get involved as “salt & light” as citizens who promote moral values and religious liberty.

"Why does the Pastor sometimes touch on controversial subjects? Isn't this divisive?"

Our Pastors have great passion for applying God’s Word to real life and sometimes that involves sensitive issues. While we always seek to bring biblical unity to our church family, we never want to avoid relevant or even controversial issues when the Bible speaks to them. You can trust that our Pastors will do their best to speak clearly where Scripture is clear, but to always do so in a spirit of love, grace & compassion, led by the Spirit in timing and tone.

"Why do you have different music styles and kind of worship services?"

We are very blessed to have a church body that is so gifted in the area of music. We also recognize that our SWFL community is very diverse and music is a big part of today’s cultural diversity. Our hope is to provide corporate worship opportunities that help people connect with God in a way that is authentic and engaging. Whether you attend a contemporary service with band-led music or a blended service with music led by our Choir + Orchestra, you can trust that the music will be Christ centered, God honoring, church encouraging, and gospel proclaiming. Our staff + church family work hard to not let musical style or service preference be a source of division, and we provide many opportunities throughout the year which invite our entire church family to worship together with one voice and one song. We encourage people with various talents and interests to contact our Worship Ministry.

"How can I know what God wants me to do about church and the Christian life?"

We strongly encourage anyone who is contemplating the Christian life to make it a matter of prayer and talk with a leader in our church to learn how to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ. You can read more on our Salvation & Baptism page, or call our church office to talk with someone. If you’re looking for a new church home, we encourage you to pray for the Lord to guide you and to investigate the various options. It’s important to find a church home where you find common beliefs, can grow deeper in your faith and can serve as the Lord has gifted you. He has a definite plan for your life, which He will reveal and enable you to follow.

"Do you believe that many roads lead to Heaven? If not, why are you so exclusive?"

We believe that the Bible, God’s Holy Scripture, is clear: Jesus Himself states that He is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6). Only through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can we have forgiveness of sin and entrance into Heaven for eternal life. While some may say this is restrictive or intolerant, we see this as God’s gracious gift to us – to offer all of humanity a way to Heaven through His Son, Jesus. You can read more about how to get to Heaven.
