Jalil Dawood

World Refugee Care

Dr. Jalil Dawood was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and came to the US as a refugee in 1982. After resettling into his new life in the US, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, his master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and his doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Since then, Jalil has served as pastor of the Arabic church of Dallas, Texas, and founded World Refugee Care, a Gospel-centered organization that helps refugees rebuild their lives. Through these outreaches, Jalil has made an incredible impact on Muslim and persecuted Christian refugees alike. Tens of thousands of displaced families have been served and many have embraced faith in Jesus Christ.
